Chronological Change of Schizophrenic Delusion : Comparison between 1980~1982 and 1990~1992

Abstract
|
|
|
This study was conducted to examine a changing picture of schizophrenic delusions during the past ten years(1980~1982 and 1990~1992).
Materials were sampled from 412 schizophrenic patients with definite delusion who had been admitted to Hanyang University Hospital in the two periods from June 1980 to May 1982 and from June 1990 to May 1992.
@ES The findings are as follows :
@EN 1. During the past ten years, the frequency of grandiose delusion was increased. whereas the frequency of delusion of jealousy decreased.
2. Frequency of delusion with political theme was deceased, whereas the frequencies of delusions with love hypnotism/telepathy, social relation in working site were increased.
3. In the case of male, frequency of grandiose delusion was increased, whereas delusion with political theme was decreased In the case of female, frequencies of delusion of jealousy and delusion with political theme were decreased, whereas
frequencies
of delusion with love affair, religious supernatural theme and social relation in working site were increased.
The above changes were attributed to the recent socio-political changes in Korea in terms of 'democratization'.
